I have 4 different plane irons from Lake Erie Toolworks and they are fantastic. Every time I get a new favorite antique plane that I realize I will be using a lot, I will try to find a MagnaCut plane iron. It just bring the modern performance to an 100+ year old tool immediately. High recommend.
The finest blade I've ever used right out of the box. Starts sharp, stays sharp. No need to lap the back. I just strop it now and then. Feathery shavings from ash, oak, and cherry. I wish you were on the Canadian side of the lake but nobody's perfect 😉. I want your blades in all my tools. *I didn't have any tariff BS either -would have been worth it if I did*
